White Hawk Retreat

A backyard retreat designed for relaxation, connection and everyday enjoyment.
When these homeowners moved into their newly built home, they were starting fresh with a completely blank backyard. They came to Nature’s Way Landscapes with a pre-existing design and a clear vision for their space — they just needed the right team to bring it to life. With a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, we helped transform their empty lot into a stunning outdoor escape.
Thanks to the thoughtful design, construction went smoothly, allowing us to focus on precision and craftsmanship. The biggest challenge was working in the intense heat of June and July. Despite the scorching summer sun, our team powered through, staying efficient while delivering the high standards we’re known for.
The transformation began with a paver patio and walkway, seamlessly connecting the backyard to the front and setting the foundation for the space. A custom pergola was added to provide shade and comfort, while a built-in sauna — complete with integrated electrical work — created the ultimate relaxation retreat. To further enhance the space, we incorporated seat walls, offering both structure and additional seating for gatherings.
Beyond the visible elements, careful planning went into the unseen structure of the landscape. Retaining walls were built to provide essential support for the patio, while drainage solutions ensured proper water flow throughout the property. Low-voltage lighting was installed to enhance ambiance and extend the space’s usability into the evening. Finally, a combination of plantings, decorative rock, and drip irrigation tied everything together, creating a sustainable, low-maintenance landscape designed for effortless enjoyment.
With their new space complete, these homeowners are making the most of their backyard retreat, enjoying it almost every day. Whether it’s starting the morning with coffee under the pergola, relaxing in the sauna after a long day, or hosting outdoor dinners with friends, their backyard has truly become an extension of their home.
